ELVIS ON THE AIR WAVES FROM CHRISTCHURCH

Hey there Elvis fans, forget television for a while, and tune your radio to PLAINS FM 96.9 Community Radio.

You will be rewarded by hearing Elvis' fabulous voice and music, plus a round up of Elvis news and events, all arranged and coordinated by Lyn Campbell and our very own Club member, Judy Pyne from Christchurch.

These two dedicated Elvis fans, make it all happen, and bring it to you every Tuesday evening, from 9.00pm - 10.00pm.

The name of the show is 'The Elvis Presley Show', and the sponsors of the show are the 'Lone Star Cafe' and 'Trax Music'.

Every week Judy works out the music for the night, no particular order, and by keeping a record of what is played each week she won't double up very often.

She and Lyn both read out news items and of course having the internet they keep up to date with what's going on worldwide.

They have request nights, giveaways, special guests, and guest interviews, which so far have included Mike Albert, Max Pelicano, Jerry Schaeff, The Jordanaires, and Ronnie Tutt.

Listeners' birthday calls are remembered on air, and special occasion callouts, eg: anniversaries - and there are special programmes for such occasions as Valentines night, Christmas Carols, and more.

This programme is very popular, and has a big following. If you haven't heard it, now is the time to tune in!!

Remember, PLAINS 96.9 COMMUNITY RADIO.. Tuesday evenings, 9.00pm - 10.00pm.
